Ribbon candy

topic

Ribbon candy

Ribbon candy is a type of hard candy which in North America most often appears for sale around the Christmas holiday season. It acquires its shape by first being fashioned as warm sugar into flat strips. A strip is then folded back and forth over itself to form a hardened ribboned stick. The sugar is often colored to appear festive, and the candy often has a glossy sheen. It is commonly made with extracts, often of different mint or citrus flavors. It is usually thin enough to melt quickly in the mouth, but because pieces of it are usually larger than bite size, biting into a stick of it causes shattering and shards. Many types of ribbon candies also tend to become sticky easily, usually either due to body warmth from being held, or simply from room temperature and humidity. It is often used like decor, put out on display in candy dishes, plates, or apothecary jars. When it is used in this way it tends to end up sticking together if it has been sitting out for an extended period of time.[1][2] History Ribbo

International Networks (country code)

International Networks is the name given by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to country calling codes +882 and +883, and serves as a catch-all for telephone services not dedicated to a single country. Satellite telephone carriers, especially those with worldwide service, are allocated within the Global Mobile Satellite System (GMSS), country code +881, with the exception of non-terrestrial Inmarsat, country code 870. As in the other such shared country codes, carriers are allocated number space within this code space plus their identification code (two-digit number in 882 code space, three or four digit number in 883 code space). The phone number for a subscriber of such a service will start with +882/+883 followed by the carrier code. The cost to call such a number can be high; for example in the British Telecom price list rates for various 882 and 883 numbers ranged from £0.60 to £4.50 per minute.[1] Carrier Codes As of November 27, 2017 the assignments of +882/+883 carrier codes are as

Sree Ramar Temple

Sree Ramar Temple (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ ராமர் கோவில்) is a temple for the Hindu god Rama, who is the presiding deity. It is located on the Changi Village Road on the east coast of Singapore. History The temple started with a shrine at the foot of a tree at the present temple site. The shrine was a place of worship for the people in the nearby localities. Ram Naidu, from the British Indian Army, secured the present site of the temple from the British at the end of the Second World War and built the temple. Over time, people living in the surrounding areas came there to participate in the daily prayers and activities.[1] The Loyang Avenue Redevelopment Project almost forced the temple to relocate; however, with the steady resolve of the temple’s supporters and with the assistance of Mr Teo Chong Tee, then Member of Parliament for Changi, the temple won its fight to keep its premises. And it continues to serve the spiritual needs of Singaporeans living in the eastern part of Singapore at its present location in Changi

EasyPizza

Launched on 17 December 2004, EasyPizza (styled as easyPizza) was a short-lived pizza delivery franchise, owned by EasyGroup offering a restricted menu and prices that varied according demand. Cheaper pizzas were offered during off-peak periods and could command a premium during popular times. Additional discounts were obtained by ordering in advance rather than for immediate delivery. The pizzas were not freshly made but manufactured centrally then cooked from frozen, limiting customisation.[1][2][3] EasyGroup lost a High Court case against EasyPizza, a previously existing London-based pizza delivery chain who successfully accused EasyGroup of bullying and underhanded practices.[4] As of December 2009, EasyPizza ceased to operate their independent franchised stores, and the website offered a referral service to Just Eat, who operate as a third party to a local pizza takeaway and delivery. As of 2017, the only option offered through the easypizza.com site was a re-direct to Domino's Pizza's website.[5] Pre

Valuation using the Market Penetration Model

Valuation using the Market Penetration Model (MPM) or the growth potential of a company[1] is a method of estimating the value of a company by calculating the depth of its market penetration as evidenced by its customer base and industry niche. The film chronicles Arthur Blessitt's Guinness World Record-setting[1] journey of 38,102 miles of forty years "into every nation and major island group of the world"[2] while carrying a twelve-foot wooden cross. Production Twenty years earlier Crouch had made a documentary about Blessitt. Then, in the summer of 2008, Crouch and Blessitt "ran into each other" on the cusp of Blessitt's final trip to Zanzibar, an island off the coast of the continent of Africa, which gave them the idea to create a brand new documentary that would finish telling the story of Blessitt's journey.[3] Box office The Cross opened on March 27, 2009 in 221 theaters, and grossed approximately $300,000.[4] It made $741,557 total.[5] Most reviews of the film criticized it for not offering a balanced, unbiased insight into both Blessitt's journey or the effects of it on his life and family.
